Founder/Owner

Jeff and his wife, Julie, live on a 71-acre hobby farm in Zumbrota, MN.  Jeff grew up on a small farm raising beef cattle, sheep and horses.  He studied computer programming and electronics in college and then worked in Engineering & Equipment services at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, for 17 years.  In 2006, he made a career change to go into ministry serving as Executive Director for Bridge Builders for Kids, a Christian ministry that worked with children and families with an incarcerated parent.  After leading this ministry for 7 years, Jeff felt prompted to lay that ministry down to begin laying a new foundation for different ministry initiatives the Lord had laid on his heart. As a way to fund these new ministry endeavors, he began farming their land and started a small hay business called FreedomOne Farms.  It was through this hay business that Jeff saw the need for a hay exchange platform that could meet the needs and challenges of both forage buyers and sellers.

Jeff is very relationship driven and has a deep passion for people which makes customer service and satisfaction a top priority.  Jeff is also a visionary and loves to build.  Whether it's building businesses, building ministries, or building their home, he loves taking a vision and then bringing all the pieces together to make it happen.  Being a people person, Jeff loves finding those individuals who can then put their God-given gifts and talents into action to make everything happen.
