Trusted & True Guarantee

When a seller offers a Trusted & True Guarantee they are guaranteeing that their forage is as described in their listing.  If the buyer finds the forage is not as described, the seller agrees to reimburse the buyer one of the following 4 ways as designated in their listing.

  1. Replacement (w/o delivery) - Seller agrees to replace any bales that do not match description in the listing but buyer is responsible for picking up bales.
     
  2. Replacement (with delivery) - Seller agrees to replace any bales that do not match description in the listing and is willing to provide delivery.
     
  3. Partial Money Back Guarantee - Seller agrees to issue a partial reimbursement for any bales that do not match description in the listing.
     
  4. Full Money Back Guarantee - Seller agrees to issue full reimbursement for any bales that do not match description in the listing.

Reimbursement Terms & Process

Listed below is the process for a Trusted & True Guarantee reimbursement.

  1. Contact the Seller - If you purchase a forage with a Trusted & True Guarantee, and it does not match the description provided in the listing, you will need to contact the seller regarding possible reimbursement.  Any issues found need to be reported within 14 days unless stated otherwise on the seller's listing.
     
  2. Seller Reimburses Buyer - Sellers are expected to respond to buyer's reimbursement requests in a timely manner.  If you are having an issue in getting a reimbursement from a seller, please use our submit a ticket or contact us through our Customer Service Center and we will follow up with the seller.

As stated in our Terms & Conditions, TruBid is not financially responsible for unfulfilled reimbursement requests.  However, we will address and track any issues we are made aware of with a seller.  Depending on the issue and the seller's response, their commission rates and ability to sell on TruBid may be affected.


Frequently Asked Questions

As a seller, what if I feel a buyer is trying to take advantage of me?
We recognize there are some buyers that will never be satisfied, potentially taking advantage of a seller with an illegitimate complaint.  If you feel you are being taken advantage of by a buyer, please submit a ticket or contact us through our Customer Service Center.  We track issues with buyers as well as sellers and will take into consideration any previous complaints as to whether your seller rating is affected.

Will submitting a reimbursement request affect a seller's rating?
Not necessarily.  We recognize that as much as a seller may try, there will be occasions when a forage may have inconsistency in some bales, especially when it comes to moisture.  If this becomes a reoccurring issue, the seller rating will likely be affected.  However, the main thing we are looking for regarding the Trusted & True Guarantee, is that sellers stand behind their products and reimburse buyers according to what they stated in their listing.

Will TruBid withhold payment to a seller if they refuse to back a guarantee they had on their listing?
Once the buyer has taken possession of their purchase, the sale is final and payment will be issued to the seller.  While TruBid may not be able to resolve a dispute concerning a guarantee, we will attempt to address the issue with the seller.  All seller issues are tracked, and in the event a seller develops a bad reputation, there will be consequences, and they could ultimately be blocked from using TruBid in the future.
